APSTAR-6C Satellite Ready for shipment
Beijing, 6 March 2018 – APSTAR 6C program has been proceeding smoothly. APT Satellite Company Limited (APSTAR) achieved critical milestone of the APSTAR-6C program with successful conclusion of the Pre-shipment Review with China Academy of Space Technology (CAST) on 6th March 2018. In addition, The Compact Antenna Test Range test (CATR) were completed in February. The above revealed the performance of the satellite is in line with specification.
Furthermore, launch service progressed as scheduled, launch vehicle was shipped to Xichang Satellite Launch Site.
The program schedule demonstrates that APSTAR-6C satellite are going to be shipped by air to the Xichang Qingshan airport, which would be launched by LM-3BE launch vehicle in the second quarter of 2018 and replace in-orbit APSTAR-6 satellite that is positioned at 134 East in the middle of 2018.
